I'm sure that this has been talked about to eternity but I can't find any help in the 'search' part of our discussion.
I'm thinking about buying a plastic gun for the first time. I love the .40 and I like the way a Glock is built but I keep hearing stories about the gun 'blowing up' while in 'full .....'. I know that's not the correct term, please correct me. But you know what I mean. Is there any truth to the Model 23 blowing up while in ......GD......help me guys. |

I have a 22 and 23. The 23 is my daily carry gun. Ive personally never had a problem with mine and have shot somewhere between 2000 and 3000 rounds total. Its a 2nd generation gun, and was used when I bought it so I dont know total round count down the barrel.
From what Ive heard the biggest culprit is bullet setback. I think if you pay attention to what you shoot and if a round looks odd, dont chance it you will be ok. Also use quality ammo, not billy bobs reloads that you bought at the corner store. |

G23 was my first Glock. Great pistol. Around 6,500 rnds through mine now, I think, no problems whatsoever. It's just a great pistol, very reliable.
I even reload for mine. Alot. Never had a problem. KBs happen from bad ammo, setback as mentioned above, things like that. And they can happen with ANY autoloader. You have nothing to worry about. Get it and you'll be happy. I was. |

It sounds like you know how to reload then |
