The Glock light seems more rugged but not as clear and bright.  The Glock light is a lot cheaper but you know the old saying.

Which do you all prefer?

Sorry can't help ya out! None of my Glocks have the rail for lights. Gen 2 or small with no room for the rail.

The M3...that Glock thang is just pure ugly!

Get the M3.  The Glock isn't made to turn you on, it's made to work.

The M3 is worth what you pay for it. They are great lights and will fit numerous weapons.

I'd like to be different and difficult and give you an option 3.  The Insight Tech M-6.  Granted it's more expensive than the M-3 or the Glock light, but it won't do you wrong.  In addition to the fact that it has the tactical flashlight that you're apparently wanting, it has that nice little laser that, if sighted in properly, will give you every bit as much "What you see is what you get." Besides, I can't think of a more religiously inspiring thing that kicking that on aimed at a guy in your house and having him see the beam and following it back to his chest.  Except maybe the sound of a shotgun racking right behind him.  It makes burglars wet themselves for some odd reason... I just can't figure it out.

I'll check it out, thanks!

The M3 X (extreme) is coming out.  They claim it is brighter, longer burn time and shock mounted.  I have seen them in the 150 160 range.  Other wise the M3 for about $90 is the norm and I am happy with my M3 on a G19, fits perfect.

Tossed my M3 on my Fiance's dad's G22 the last time I shot.  Fit perfectly, and looked right at home on that handgun.  Fits like it was made for it ;-)

There's also the M3 LED.  It has the 6V main light of the M3, but also has a less poweful LED light.  They go for about $140.

Now surefire has it's M3 fighter model done.  It is LED, I wonder how bright it really is.  X200 or something, and all aluminum.

Got an M3 from my wife for Christmas and it is awesome. It is so bright! It also adds almost no weight to the gun. I have not shot it with the light yet, but soon I will try it out!

Get the M3 or wait to see if the new SureFire LED weapon lights are as good as they are supposed to be.  Please avoid the Glock lights.  I have seen several fall apart already.
Don't buy the current SureFire lights unless you plan on using the mount that comes with it instead of the rail on the gun.

I like the on/off switch on the surefire light alot better than anything else that I've saw but I can't vouch for the light quality though.

I have a G23 and am looking for one of the M3 lights as they are relatively afforable and appear rugged.  I need to find a place to order one for less than the $129 I see them in stores around here.  Any suggestions?

I have the M3 on my Beretta Vertec 96 and it's great.  Why it's so great I am planning on getting a Glock to go with the light as my 1st Gen G23 is a plain Jane, no finger grooves no rails.

But ouch! I paid $155 for mine, but then again I live in the sticks and often get stuck at gun stores.
