I have a G23 with a serial # that starts with GUN..... now there can only be 999 total made in that model with that serial. I am currently trying to sell it and wonder if that holds any type of value principal?

I wouldn't think so. To most potential buyers, it is just another Glock.

At least you didn't get the Walther P99 with the SN starting with FAG.

Doh! That's one of those times when you get it home, admiring your new toy and catch just a glimpse of it at first, and then.............slowly...............you realize........... "What in the hell does that say?!"

To collectors it will.  To others, it will not.

It's neat but I don't know if it adds any dollar value. Now if I were choosing between two that were otherwise identical, except one had a clever 3 letter prefix on the serial number I'd probably pick it but not pay extra for it.

+1

there are a FEW folks out there who look/collect/would pay the extra $$$s for something like that (kinda like the "evil" glocks)....not for me though

Took a friend to the gun show about 3 years ago because she wanted a glock 23.  The serial number was GUN007.  I thought it was cool.

Mine starts with BMG.  That means it can shoot .50 cal AP heat-seaking rounds.

I have the  EVL666  and it is for sale.

I do think it's kinda cool and unusual.

It's "just another Glock" to some, or is it?......

+1 for unusual SNs

At the police dept here, we got in a batch of Vang Comp Remington 870's and about 5 0r so had the prefix 666.  When the officers saw this, most did not want them!
