I use skate board tape on my generation 2 Glock 17. I really like it with the tape. I tried to get a grip on it after a cleaning and it slopped around in my hand. With the tape, it felt great. You can buy it at the mall and cut it to fit or buy precut tape here

Thank you for the tip, even I´m now 42 when I was younger I was an skateboarder so I still have some rolls of tape around and indeed they have a better grip.
Traction grips are made of 3M Safety-Walk material, it´s rubber like and it comes in two grains, so my question goes to somebody who have use it.
The only advantage of those type of factory grip enhancers (like Traction grips or Decal grips) is that they are already cut, so they are "drop in", and you dont have to cut the tape to fit in your gun.
Thank you for your answer, and have fun .

I am to lazy to cut the grips myself, so I use Decal sandpaper grips.

Yeah, I would suggest the skateboard tape too.  I use it on the frontstrap of my 1911.

Thing is, I feel it's cool being able to customize however you want, rather than a precut system.  I'm sure you can trim a precut system too, though.
