| Howdy folks, just got to shoot my glock 30SF today for the first time and LOVED IT. Very smooth gun, but the trigger could use some work... another day. My question is what good tac light will fit on this thing? I own a surefire x300 which IMHO is the shit but the slot in the glock rail is not far enough back to allow the light to properly engage (due to the overall length of the pistol). I tried shooting it with the x300 on anyway just a friction fit (a fairly tight one) and, as I suspected, the light flew off at round number 2. Any ideas? I'd imagine it would be the same situation w/ a glock 30 but I don't have one at hand to look. |

It is really too short to mount a light. I am not a light on a gun person, but think if you must have a mounted light, it should be on a full size gun. The 30 and 30SF are the same as far as I can tell forward of the grip. I have both. My SF has a rail, my standard 30 does not. I carry my standard 30 and have had my SF since May and not shot it yet. Just keeping it for backup. I have a Surefire G2 and use it. I think the subcompacts with rails are really suited more to mounting a small laser on the rail instead of a light. |
