its a good gun--i would not mind owning one

what kinda holsters are you looking for--i.e.: for what uses?

CompTac, Bladetech, Raven Concealment Systems, Safariland, Galco, etc offer a good selction for just about anything

i take it that an OWB holster is in order then

next question is, would you prefer a passive retention holster, where its simply the tension of the holster's screws/body that secures your firearm (good for jumping around, sucks for retention against grabs)--in this case, a good paddle or belt holster from the aftermentioned brands would work

if you want a level II retention hoslter w/ a secure anti-grab lock, safariland offers the best models for this job imo

another you may want to look at is the Blackhawk (the Serpa comes to mind, abet that some training facilities dont like how the side release tab is mounted)

oh, and i forgot: Bianchi offers good stuff too:

www.bianchi-intl.com/

www.blade-tech.com/Duty-Holsters-c-258.html--i do NOT recommend the tec lock system b/c its too flimsy and unbalanced imo

www.safariland.com/duty/holsters.aspx

www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT1.asp

i dont prefer the ones w/ thumb breaks, but thats just me; for me, i prefer the 2nd retention feature to be either a thumb or finger release

i use the Safariland 0706 mostly fwiw--it unlocks by pulling the gun slightly to the rear to release the lock

If you are looking at the 23 and you already have a .45 and a 9mm why not look at the 19 (same size as the .40 but in 9mm) or the 30 (very slightly smaller than the 23 but thicker)? That way you won't have to stock another type of ammo.
