I wanna swap out frames with an older Glock 20 and a new 21 with the rail. Will this work OK? I know the frames are pretty much the same but i didn't know if the 10mm had stronger lug or something.

You should not have a problem doing this.  I use a 10mm barrel in my 21 all the time. They are the same frame..

Have any extraction problems? I'd think you would.

Back to the OP's question:  G21 frames are exactly the same as G20 frames.

10mm and 45acp use the same extractor

No they don't.  The G20 and G21 slides are different in the breachface width, the size of the firing pin safety, and the extractor/extractor cutout.  Therefore, they use different extractors.

Note the different part numbers.

It is true that both the G20 and G21 share identical frames, including the ejectors.

I didn't think you could swap 2nd to 3rd gen though?

Why?  Glock doesn't designate a title like first, second, or third generation to their pistols.  Those are consumer terms created to differentiate upgrades to the frame.  To answer your question though, a first or second generation slide will fit just fine with a third generation frame, providing they are of the same model number.
