First failure I have ever had with a glock and I will take it.  Had the G23 at the range this morning and while shooting my last round instead of chambering stood straight up and looked just like a stove pipe but with a live round.  Cleared and didnt even take the time to look at the round right into the next mag it went and had no further troubles.  One failure over 6500 rounds.

how old is the mag spring or mag follower...might be time to rebuild

One failure in 6500 rnds is damn good for a stock autopistol.  As Glock owners it's easy for us to get spoiled with the unbelievable reliability.  I have 3 Glocks, and have only seen one of them fail.

My G23 has I think 6200 rnds since last malfunction, and that was after the 300 rnd break-in period, in which there were maybe 5 or 6 FTFs.  Doin't great, but if it does choke once, hey, it's gonna happen now and then with any auto.......happens often all of a sudden, then there's an indication of a problem......weak spring somewhere, etc.

I'd say your malfunction might be nothing at all.  Shoot a bunch through that mag again, might, I say might need a new spring.  Of course that depends on how much that mag has been used.......compression cycles, that is.

Wow, not bad for that many rounds. Make sure the mag springs, and the recoil spring are fresh. Could have been ammo related too.

My stock glock except heinie straight eights has over 11,000 rounds never had a ftf ever and all original mags 10 total.

So if you have rotated your shooting between each mag evenly, you have only 1,100rds through each mag.  A low amount.
