| which one should i get. i've had a 19 before. does the 17 shoot a little smoother and handle nicer? what's the advantage of a 19 except concealement? i'm a 1911 lover but want a glock in 9mm to have something different and cheap to shoot with great reliability. if i'm carrying it'll most likely be my wilson combat. is top glock the place to go? |

If I could only have 1 of the 2, I would get the 19. It's better overall for concealment, and can still be used for combat/target shooting with the 15 round magazine capacity. If it was ONLY a game gun/target gun, I would go with the 17. I happen to have several 17's (It's also what I have to carry at work) and a 19, 22, and 32. Just my $.02. |
| I have two 17s and a 26. I have a modified 45 cal Gold Cup and Glock 21. If I was expecting a shoot out I would carry my Gold Cup second would be Glock 21. When I go the grocery store or the gas station I put my model 26 in my pocket. At across the room distance 124 gr +P+ 9mm that I have in my pocket is enough. I know that a lot of people love their 19's but it seems to me to be a little off. Coat or jacket, 17 or 45 cal. Summer in Florida 26 in my pocket. Mark |
