I am trying to install an extended slide stop in a 2 pin G17. Will the newer stops work (without the little cutout like the one I am replacing)? It looks like the stop goes too high and forward when an empty magazine is inserted. Thanks!

No, the 2 pin G17 has a limiter built onto the slide stop lever.

Is there an extended stop for a 2 pin?

I was looking for an extended slide lock a couple weeks ago for my 3 pin G20, and all
my local shop had was one for a 2 pin.
I compared the 2 pin extended slide lock with the 3 pin standard slidelock, and found both to have basically the same dimensions.
I filed off that shark fin and smoothened it out, It's works beautifully with "0" problems.

I did the same with my G20.  Snipped of the fin and filed the area down flush and smooth.

I actually have one in my spare parts box. I'll send you a PM.

Yes, as stated above.
