I got 7 of my 10 Glocks from Mark at Summit, along with many S&W autos and an old Colt SP-1 rifle, PD marked. He's treated me very well over the years, and I've found that he always downgrades the condition of his stock much more than he has to. He does this so, in his words, "nobody is ever disappointed in the condition of what they get". I can't recommend him highly enough. |
Got my NIB G19 with Trijs and 3 mags for $459. Since he has started dealing in Class 3 goodies, his site has really gone down the crapper. Why sell $400 handguns when you can sell $14000 autos? Bummer. I have a lot of Homer Simpson moments from not buying a lot of guns from him in the past. Mark is a great guy. |
+10 from a G23 owner from Summit |
It has nothing to do with Mark selling Class 3 toys now. He can only bid on what's out there available. Sometimes, he's the high bidder, sometimes he's not. I can tell you for a fact that Mark bids very competitively on LEO trade-in lots, since he's bought from an LEO distributor I've worked with before. Right now, many large distributors are bidding very high, probably due to the upcoming November election and the unsure future of gun ownership afterwards. It's not worth it to a smaller dealer like Mark, or anyone else for that matter, to bid on a lot that he can only make $10/gun on after paying shipping costs, from the distributor to him, too. I'd have to say that, by the end of the summer, you'll see much higher prices on used guns from large dealers. And, if the election goes our way (or as much our way as it could possibly go, since McCain isn't exactly a friend to gun owners, but better than the alternatives), you'll see prices drop again. |
| Mark is great guy to deal with. When I was looking for a G-22, he was very patient with me and answered all my questions. He was evry honest about the condition of his firearms and even verfied my FFL's license before proceeding with the transaction. I give Mark and A+++. I just wish he dealt with more Police trade ins than just G-22s. |
Well, I like the G17, 19's, Gen 2.5 20, G22 and MA "Compliant" Gen 3 G27 I got from him, along with the 10 or so LE trade-in S&W autos, too. The reason he has a lot of LEO G22's is because, for many years now, it's been the most popular LEO duty weapon in the country. The more that are bought, the more that will be traded in. I will say that the distributor I used to work with is selling about 99% S&W M&P's now. The trade-ins have been everything from 9mm and .40 3rd Gen S&W autos, S&W 45xx TSW's, Beretta 96 and 96G's, Sigs and even, yes, Gocks. I don't know if it's just a flash in the pan for S&W or not, but the M&P really seems to be gaining ground. |
