Hey maybe this is a really stupid question......but here goes anyways lol.  I was at the range all week and put about 1500rds through the 22 and I've been wiping the lens to clean the carbon buildup after shooting.  Well it got to where it won't all wipe off now though?  Is there a good way anyone has found to clean that stuff off of the lens?  I don't wanna scratch it up.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I've always used M-PRO 7 to take off carbon build up on mine.  But prior to shooting I use to put a thin layer of Vaseline on the lens and brezel.  The Vaseline will be burnt off when you fire the gun, but it helps in reducing clean up time and power burns on the brezel.

Before you go shooting, you can put some oil on the lense and it will help with the cleanup.

The oil trick works great.
I always have a light coat on the lens just to make it easier to clean.
