just wanted to share this with you guys.
It from an italian gun magazine.

this pic show the differences between a standard G19 and newer G19 MB.

- of course the ambi mag release;
- new ambi magazine that will work with "old" glock since the cut on the side is still there;
- new slide stop lever (b);
- new mag follower;

new MB frames wont be marked "MB" on the side like SF frames are.

MB are hitting the marked right now in Italy, in fact as u can see that G19 is chambered for 9x21 instead of 9x19 (since we cant own 9x19 firearms & ammo).

I've paid my G17 600Euro a couple of years ago. The average prige is 620Euro if I'm no mistaken.

I'm from Vicenza (NE of Italy).

Ahh, I was just in Venice at the end of April.  I have a house near Bari.

I looked at a Glock 19 today, and it was around $600 USD, making it about $400Euro.

Stamping the serial number into the frame polymer is an interesting change!  I saw a few threads on GT about serial number plates falling out and causing owners problems.  Does the MB still have the metal serial number plate?

The number inside the frame is different from the actual serial number.  I just bought a G34, LPM prefix, and it has the new internal number.  Maybe it's a manufacturing code.

Maybe its a tool number from the mold of the frame?  ETA Nevermind couldnt be on a G34 and G19

Excuse my ignorance but why not? Is the 9x21 round less effective than 9x19?

another excuse to get a new 19

If I remember correctly, I believe Italy has a law restricting civilians from using the same caliber of ammunition as the Italian military. Not sure of the rationale for that though?

I know its stupid....

we cant own 9x19 because it's considered a "war caliber" by law.
its called "war caliber" every caliber currently issued by a Army.
thats why in the past we couldnt own 556, 30-06, 308 and 45ACP rifles or pistols. Rifles like AR15 or M1 garands were all chambered for calibers like 222 and 270, and pistols like 1911 were chambered for 45HP

luckly things have changed and we can now own AR15, M1, M1A, 1911 etc in their original calibers...but 9x19 is still a no-go

all those stupid laws came out in 1975 when italian commie terrorists started killing people (look for "Brigate Rosse" in Goole).
Before 1975 we could own simply everything...even full auto weapons!

I wouldn't be surprised if it contained a number for the individual mold and a product date code for tracking purposes.
