It will be my first 17 but I have a 34, 26 and a 30 currently and had a 37 and a 19...which I should have kept both!. Any traits from the 1st gens I should look out that might need a chnage out?

There have been a few issues with the early first gen G17s. Don't worry about it, should you have any issue Glock will take care of it.
