| I keep seeing the same posts about Glocks exploding--I think it must be the work of shills for another company. I vote we no longer even address the issue in this forum, maybe put a sticky at the top and be done with it. It's so annoying! |
+3 Maybe just have a single sticky thread reading "Bring all of your exploding Glock issues here" or some such thing. One thing to mention is I used to be a "I'm not sure about Glocks because I heard they explode a bunch" sort of guy...until I got skooled. Some people are just misinformed and need to hear true and informative facts to understand that there are a lot of idiots out there that want to go blame crazy and point their blame stick at anything and everything without reason. |
Put me down for 6 that work........with reloads (40's included) and I shoot the hell out of my pistols in IPSC comps.

Darn.... Oh well...... BTW, you can put me in for additional +18 to the running count of trouble free Glocks. TK |
pics of mine have been around for a long time. |
trolling? |
nope just saying not all of those stories are trolls. |
| I've had or have 2 Glocks a Model 22 and a Model 37. I still have the 22 and will never get rid of it. It has fired everytime and I've never had a problem with it. I haven't shot it in quite a while but I do like it. The Model 37 I bought on impluse and sold it a couple of months later. The one time I took it to the range the first 3 rounds went click(green box Remington). It finally fired on the 4th round(CorBonHP). I then emptied the mag with the rest of the Remington ammo. I just never felt like I could trust it after that I got rid of it. I really didn't like the 45 GAP round either. |

I have been carrying Glocks for over 10 years and never any problems. 2 G27'S 1 G23 On my 2nd G19 and i shoot the hell outa all of them and i dont recall any type of malfuntions throught the years, and lots of reloads and in the 27's and 23's too. By far the most trouble free brand handguns i have ever had, i wont carry anything else. |
They should be bashing the ammo mfg, or the idiot that reloaded the ammo. Bashing the Glock for exploding is like blaming alcohol for drunk drivers. |

4- 17's, Gen 1, 2 and 3 3- 19's, Gen 2 and 3 1- 20 Gen 2.5 1- 21 Gen 2 2- 22 Gen 2 2- 23 Gen 2 1- 27 Gen 3 I don't own all of them now (only 10 currently), but none ever KB'd on me. But, since it's a very inexpensive insurance policy, I use Lone Wolf barrels in my Glocks since I cast bullets and reload for everything I own. Doing otherwise is just tempting fate and asking for trouble. No, I'm not a troll, just someone with a very strong opinion. |
| No troll here and my oldest Glock is 14 years old with 1000 of flawless rounds but I did have a squib load a few months back that lodged in the barrel. If I had not caught it and had been able to seat the next round I would have has a kaboom and everyone would have blamed the Glock not the ammo. It was factory ammo. |

Over 13 years, I've carried 3 Glock Dept. Issued weapons. I've never had a problem. +1 for making a sticky thread and sending all the trolls there. Can we do it for all the Colt haters too please? I gotta tell you that I had a patrol Cpl. have some SERIOUS FTF with his Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine during our last qualifications last week. He's had it about 3 years and had no problems. At the last range shoot, it turned into a single shot. Problem? Loose/improperly staked carrier key. (oops, didn't mean to start another sticky, but at least I saw it with my own eyes!) |
exploding glock hysterias are just like all the jokes after the DK Prof goose story, misinformed (the guy in the story wasn't even DK Prof), not at all funny, and won't ever go away. I love my glocks and think all the kaboom jokes are They are the only handguns I own that are 100%. I trust them more than any others.

*************** Joke *************** "Deer Mr. Gastone Clock, Sir, I have a complaint - all of my Clock's go kaboom! You must do something about this sorry excuse of a handgun! First I had a G21 Clock....I figured hell, it needs to go twice as fast as any other .45 that way I end up with a .90 right? So I load it with a double charge of Bullsye and the only hole I when I shoot the thing is from my own eye getting shards in it from the kaboom...WTH? Your gun go kaboom on me Mr. Clock! I know it wasn't my bullet cause it was a good 65gr bullet and the brass I had only resized 8 times. Then I get a G30 Clock and I figure I do like those old 80's ammo where you know you remember there was like 2 bullets whenever you fired it - remember? Well I take this 9mm bullet and drop it down the boor so that whens the gun goes bang the 1st bullet pushes out the 2nd bullet and I have 2 wholes in my traget -r ight? WRONG Mr. Clock, that thar gun go kaboom too! wHAT THE HELL IS WRONG IWTH YOUR GUNS CLOCK? I'm going to go onto all the boards and complain about these Clock's going boom on my...you dang bastard you...trying to kill me with these chap assse clocks... #%#$##$# Angry Redneck.... ******************************************************** |
