Anyone here got one?. I ran across one today at a local shop. I already have a 19 but I really the C model. Is it worth it to buy? This was a Gen 3 for $550 plus transfer.

Any pics would put me in the mood

I am also curious about that one. loving my g19 so far but the g19c seems tempting.

I have a g19c and really like it. It has virtually no recoil and is alot of fun to shoot. I bought it to practice with, as my 40 cal glocks were starting to get a little expensive, and I had always wanted one of the compensated models. With that said, I wanted to start shooting IDPA with it, and they are not allowed in regular class...which kind of sucks. I can understand why, but in retrospect I almost wish I would have just bought a regular 19.

Also, I cannot carry the 19c as a secondary weapon where I am employed as ported/compensated guns are a no go...

My .02 is that if you are just doing some recreational shooting or concealed carry, then it is alot of fun and pretty useful. If you plan on using it for ipsc or idpa or a work related purpose, I would avoid the c model. Everyone in my family loves to shoot it though!

I was planning on shooting it in IDPA if I were to buy it. Wouldn't I be able to shoot it in the Enhanced Service Pistol category?

comps are not allowed in any division of IDPA.  You end having to run a stock barrel in the G19C to turn off the ports for IDPA.

You guys really need a comp'd barrel for 9mm?  If you're planning to compete, reload your 9mm's with 4.2 gr of Winchester 231 and there wont be any muzzle jump either...
