I love the reliability of the Glock 19 but I want to figure out the best way to improve the heavy, long trigger.  I'd like it as short and as light as possible.  This would be a carry pistol.

Also, I'd like to get an extended mag release.  Thoughts on the best one to get?

Finally, who is the best online vendor to buy it from?

Thanks.

You can do most of the trigger work yourself.  Purchase a 3.5 lb connector and do a google search for the .25 cent Glock trigger job.  Simple.  Easy.  Effective.

several things, 1st its not generally recommended (by most experts and trainiers alike) that a carry firearm should have a trigger pull weight less than ~4lb...

that being said, some smiths can make your glock trigger just a few OUNCES, so get a rough guage of just how "light" you want your trigger

the lightest i'd put a glock trigger for carry would be a 3.5, but i prefer the stock one myself for carry

the lightest glock trigger i have is a 3.5 ghost w/ a lighting competiton spring set upgrade--break is VERY light (~2 lb) and short....h/w, i would NOT use it for carry--YMMV

a nice combo is the NY1 heavier trigger spring and a 3.5 connector = a 5+lb pull w. a firm and faster reset

the .25cent trigger job can help smooth things down, but not lighten the pull too much
