Hello, just signed on today. I purchased my first Glock, which was only my second gun, in November 07. I fell in love with my G 23 out the box. Took it home, did my own cleaning, took it to the range, and I realized I'm a much better shot with my G23 than I was with my 410 - .40 cal. Smith & Wesson. I've decided to upgrade to a Glock 30 next month. I love the G30 even more so than the G23. Gonna have to part with it as soon as I find a buyer. Just here to look, listem, learn and share a little bit as well. Just wanted to introduce myself. Black Glock |
![]() (PS: i saw your EE thread, sorry that you have to sell a glock--great price btw; as a warning, might want to make sure you dont try to sell anything in the tech forums) |
I would also like to warn, anytime you sell a Glock, you'll regret it and end up buying one back later !!! |
Dude, that is what we call bad Kharma. You need a minimum of two handguns. Two is one, one is none. Consider what you will do when Lootie tries to break into your place and you cap him. The cops come, investigate and take your Glock into evidence. While you are waiting to get it back, Lootie, Jr. comes around looking for payback. Uh oh. What if it malfunctions or has to be sent back for repair? Unlikely with a Glock, but you never know. [Edited for Typos] |
Well, I DO have more than one firearm, but I'll play devil's advocate. In that situation, in most states, I'd go out and buy another defensive weapon, in under 45 minutes total. (drive time, browsing, ect.) In Ohio, the longest part of buying a new handgun, for me, is the drive time. Obviously, this is not feasible for civil unrest or natural disasters, which are good cases for having more than one defensive weapon. In most cases, however, you won't need your primary defensive weapon. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be prepared, though. I guess what I'm trying to say is: If he's comfortable with only one weapon in the house, maybe he should keep it that way until he feels uncomfortable about having only one weapon in the house. |
