I honestly wish they would go the other way and make a .44 round. There are lots of great 44 bullets so make something like a 10mm class pressure but with a .44 bullet even if it is nothing more then a recreated 44 auto mag with a shortened case to fit in the Glock 20 pistol. I don't see much use for this .50 round personally |
That's what I was thinking. |
Wrong font, wrong size, grainy... FAIL! |

I really hope this gives the 50GI a jumpstart. Per the website the 50GI operates at low preasure and judging by the case it doesn't seem to me that much of it would be unsupported. I'm sure bullet feeding is an issue that Guncrafter is well on top of. The guys running it are excellent smiths. I like it but until other mfgs are making ammo I think I will just admire it from pictures. |

Marginal gain over 45ACP Definitely NOT for bears. Pushing about 650 ft/lbs from what I can tell. 44 MAG is over 1000 ft/lbs and considered by people smarter than me, which ain't saying much, to be the minimum needed for bears. I sure wish someone would make a upper for the G21 that shoots a cartridge with at least 1000 ft/lbs. I would jump on it! Headed to Alaska again this summer. |

Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder? Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? Marty DiBergi: I don't know. Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven. Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder. Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder? Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven. |
