Glock 19SF? > Glock

I have seen mags advertized for the Glock 19 some as Glock 19SF. Is there a Short Framed Glock19SF?

There are no short frame models other than the G21SF. When people say SF mags they simply mean that the mags are compatible with Glock's new ambi mag release.

I Don't think that we will see a G-19SF, But we might see a G-19 MB . MB Is what Glocks calls the models with the Ambi Mag Release..

The ambi release will be an option. The mags will work in both ambi and the non ambi configuration.

I just bought some G17 mags from Midway USA and received the mags with what I believe is the ambi release cutout. Dunno about the G19, but it appears the G17SF or at least "MB" is on its way.

It will more than likely be called the G17MB as SF designates the short frame which the G17 will not have. I have bought G19 mags with the cutout.

What? Since when did they start making ambi releases?

Do they make a 22MB? Sign me up!

That is the only reason I don't own a glock yet.

From what I've read, yes.

I also understand that Glock builds large batches of the same gun, then switches to another gun, and builds a large batch.

Since the 20 is a low volume gun, it may take a long time until they are ready for a G20SF run.

You won't as there is no reason to shorten the 9mm frames. You might get a G26 MB, though, which is the ambi mag release model. I think too many people are confusing the SF and MB.

I was under the impression that SF stood for 'Slim Frame'. Am I wrong?

What I'm wanting is a single stack 26...not a shorter framed 26.

It stands for short frame. The SF frames are not slimmer they are shorter from front to back.

It stands for short frame. The SF frames are not slimmer they are shorter from front to back.
