Any thoughts on switching to the 3.5 lb trigger, and suggestions on best place to get the connector. Thanks

I don't like the 3.5lb trigger at all.  I much prefer the 5lb setup.  I find the 3.5lb trigger to be mushy and not as crisp.

I prefer the 3.5# Lone Wolf connector over the Glock model.

+1

I started with a Glock 3.5# connector, switched to a Scherer 3.5# connector, and then when Lone Wolf came out with theirs, I gave it a try.  The Lone Wolf 3.5# connector is by far my favorite.

I have the Scherer 3.5# and I love it. I keep looking at the rocket, but haven't stopped and ordered it yet.

Can anyone give comments based on owning all 3 brands?

I have 2 Ghost Rockets in guns and one other 3.5# connector of unknown origin in another one.  Not totally sold yet on the over-travel stop in the GR connectors.

I stopped by one of my local places to see if they had any, he said he can get them in in 2 days and put it in for me, but he also asked what the gun I was putting it in was used for, if only target he said ok, but if I was planning to carry it, he said if I had to use it ,then you would catch a load of crap from the authorities about switching triggers. Just has me thinking

So laws change by trigger pull weight?  interesting.

Ghosts are the best imo

glockparts, lonewolfdist, midwayusa, etc are some great places

you can also opt for a NY1 trigger spring and a 3.5 to get a nice, near stock pull weight w/ better resets

In NY they take Glocks which has a 5lb trigger, and put a 12lb trigger in them for all NYC officers, can't fight NYC laws

I hate to side track the thread but I didn't realize Glock made a G20L.

How hard are these to come by?

That would be great hunting rig.

Maybe that's a state thing.  We don't do it in VT, and I still fail to see WHY this would result in legal trouble for you.  It's not like the gun would go off by accident.  You still need to pull the trigger, and the law would remain the same in each case.  Feel free to use a 28lb trigger if you think the jury will be impressed.

I have them in a couple of my Glocks and to be hoset I don't feel that much difference.

I_B will be here shortly say that I have a dumb trigger finger though. (Which is true)

If they make law enforcement use a heavier trigger to prevent nervous discharge, don't you think lawyers would have a field day wondering why I didn't leave the standard trigger in. At least thats what I'm told by some individuals who know a bit more about this, but it sounds like the attorneys in VT are alot easier.

Got an LWD. The trigger is noticeably lighter and the reset seems a little crisper. Dry fired it a lot, took it to the range a few times. Don't know if I like it or not yet.

They must be more relaxed here in VT then.  Have you ever heard of such a case?  Where trigger weight resulted in more time or a guilty verdict?

I had to file over 3/4 of the OT "stop" off before the trigger would reset.  Then by the time I filed off just a little more so there is some very small amount of OT, there just isn't that much of the original OT stop left at all.  It maybe reduced my pistols' trigger OT by 1/16" over a standard connector.  In other words, not that much for the 100%+ price premium over standard connectors.

I have the ghost rocket, and I can't tell that much difference in my glock 23c.  As for the comment about having about 1/16 less over travel.  I completly agree.  Not much difference.
