I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but the normal $100 discount that Glock gives LEO's and Military, has been extended to include Firefighters, EMS workers and security as well.

It's pretty simple, just go to a Glock LE Dealer and show them your creds and get the discount, or order direct from Glock and send them copies of your creds.  Only set back with Glock direct is that there is a 6-8 week wait time on all orders.

What type of security?  I thought it had to be licensed.  I could be wrong though and it would then be time to get a part time job for the week.

It's better to buy from a LE dealer. Glock charges taxes and shipping. My local LE dealer sold me mine at $30 cheaper than had I gone through Glock.

I wonder if it has to be armed licensed security or can it be unarmed licensed...?

I am a firefighter and bought 4 Glocks a month ago with this discount. If your in doubt if you qualify or not, call Glock. They will tell you where the closest LEO dealer is and you can call them and ask. All i needed was a department ID or paycheck stub. Was a very simple process. 426 out the door per gun. Cant beat that anywhere.

It actually may be more or less than a $100 depending on model and how much the FFL sells there regular glocks.  The LE glocks are sold at a set price and come in their own packaging (normally the label on the glock plastic case is light blue for LE).

You can also get LE pricing if you are a member of the GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation)

$398.20 for 9, 40 and 357.  Few dollars more for 45 and 10mm and the 34,35 guns.

Picked up a 17 and a 19 for 398.00 apiece today under the LE discount program.

What a great way to add to the collection.

I have 2 17's and a 30 right now.  Saving up for a 19 to add.  Love that FD picture ID.

Are you sure about this?  Is it limited to one pistol or can you buy as many as you want.  If so, I really need to join up.

Two years ago it was limited to one pistol per year.  I don't know if that has changed since....

Please don't do this. It is immoral and against Glock's request. It is a program Glock does to show appreciation to those who serve in the private sector.

Besides, if your LEO buddy did do this, he would be quilty of a straw purchase according to the 4473.

Is the discount good for nurses too, or just paramedics/EMT's? My whole family is either in nursing, EMS, or FD (me). And do the big box retailers pass on the discount too (Academy, Cabela's, etc...)?

EMS, FIRE, MILITARY, some security, and of course LE.
No nurses. You have to either contact Glock and send in the paperwork, then have it shipped to your choice of FFL (you will have to pay tax, shipping, and FFL transfer which will probably eat up most of discount.) or you can find out where your states LE Distributer is located and find some other FF EMTs or military guys and take them to split the fuel to go there. That is the most cost effective way.

I loaded up with 4 other Paramedics and we all bought a Glock. The trip was 260 miles round trip, but we did it in a Hyundai and got 38 MPG. I think it was 5 bucks ea or something like that. Had fun too.

Good luck, and please don't do any straw purchases. I don't know how long it will be before Glock discontinues this program, but I am sure that reported straw purchases for unqualified people or qualified people buying and selling for profit will quickly end it for all of us. We don't get much as it is, and I for one appreciate the mess out of this program.

I called the number provided by Glock, and NYS licensed security personnel DO qualify. n New York state to be a security guard you must take a certification class that ends up getting you a state security license card, that is what you'd need to provide in order to get the discount.

Local peace officers store has the Glock 17 & 19 with three high caps for $398.00.  I think thats the LE price.
