i have a G19 and a G35 (i CCW the 19 and use the 35 for GSSF), i want to stick with 9, 40, or 45.  thinking about a G21C, i have big hands so i don't need the short frame.

i already own a .45 (1911 style) recoil's not really an issue, it would be nice to tame it a little but i've never owned a compensated handgun, does it make a difference?

or does anyone have a better idea?

The G21 is one of my favorite Glocks.  You will love it, just stay away from the "C" model.  Its a .45 not a .50 Beo Wulf.  The flash from the ports and the dirt they let in IMO is not worth a little les recoil.

Don't tell him that.  I have the c model and love it.  There are plenty more here that have various c models and appreciate the faster recovery for the second shot.

Well ok.  For ME its not worth it but maybe you will be like Popo and love it.

I think you would enjoy a G21C. The great thing about them is you can buy a non-compensated barrel but not the other way around.

The truth is that the G21 is the lightest recoiling .45acp made, period.  The combination of the polymer frame's flex and the broad back strap's distribution of the recoil impulse result in a sweet shooting .45, even with hotter .45acp+P ammo.

Get it and you'll love it!
