| I am looking @ maybe changing some things around on my 17 as I can't afford a 34. I was thinkin about getting a barrel, and 3.5 connector. what other parts would I change out to replicate the trigger pull. Any other advise (please don't say buy a 34)? Thanks. |

If you are just referring to "improving" the trigger pull feel so that it feels like a G34, then all you need is the 3.5(or 4.5, depending on where you look) connector. If you want to convert the whole gun to a G34, all you need is a complete slide and barrel. But good luck finding one of those. You could buy a used G34 for the price you will find just the complete slide for. I know you said don't say it, so I won't. Instead, buy more ammo and become better with the Glock you already have. There is nothing magical about the G34. It isn't any more accurate, and you might actually not like the way it feels when it cycles, compared to the G17. |

What I want to do is get the parts to imitate the G34 trigger in my G17, and also want have the barrel length of the G34, but with a barrel that I can shoot lead reloads out of. Getting a connector and swapping it out is no problem, but I didn’t know if I needed any other springs to make the G17 like the G34 trigger pull. Ideally, I want to have a G17 that I can have some extra parts for that will help me while getting my feet wet in competitions, without having to go buy another gun while not knowing if I will like competition. Adding the 3/4" longer barrel serves virtually no purpose without increasing the sight radius you get with the Mod 34 slide. |
Like I said before. The only difference between a G34 and a G17, trigger wise, is the connector. And you don't need another barrel to shoot lead through your Glock. As long as the lead is of sufficient hardness, it is sized properly, and you clean your barrel, you can shoot lead through the stock barrel all day long. |
