Is there any collector value to a Gen 1 Glock 17 with import marks on the slide?  I'd rate it at about 80%.

Import marks?

Who imported it? Or are they they proof markings?

Anything collectible depends on condition and some other things.

Does it have the original box or mags with it? you can add more for that.

You are correct, proof marks.  It does have one original mag.

No.

Unless it is something special there will be no additional value placed on a Gen 1 gun.  If it were unfired in the original packaging you may be able to get what a new Gen 3 gun goes for, but if it is used it's worth $400 max.

Yeah, I agree at 80% it would not be a hot collectible or really one of a kind...
Unless you get it super cheap ~ I would pass on it

Used Glock $400.  Old used Glock $350, or less, depending on condition and what comes with it.  Subtract $20 for each magazine that isn't period correct to the gun.

Agreed.  Unless it's a Gen 1 G19, there's no real additional value.  I bought my Gen 1 G17 with 2 NFML mags for $290 a few years ago.

I now have a Gen 1, 2 and 3 G17.  Out of them all, I prefer the finger grooves of the Gen 3's the best.  But, before I had that (Gen 3's aren't easy to come by at a reasonable price in MA, they go for around $600 used!) I definately like the Gen 1's grp much better than the Gen 2's.  It's all personal preference.  The constant texture all the way around is much more comfortable than the 2nd Gen's texture, IMO.

So, as mentioned, I wouldn't pay extra for a Gen 1 G17, but I would buy it before a Gen 2.

If you curently own it and was considering selling it, someone on another forum saw mine and wanted to buy it.  He sold his in the 80's and regrets it still.  So, if you own it and want to sell it, e-mail me and I'll put the two of you in contact.
