| I was thinking of getting a .357 Sig Glock factory barrel for my G22 but was wondering if there have been any issues or greater concerns with kB’s given the pressure of .357 Sig rounds in factory barrels? Data seems rather elusive. Or should I just get a Jarvis or Bar-Sto barrel? |

I have had a G33 and I now have a G31, never had any problems. Never have heard of any problems either. I would just use an OEM Glock 31 barrel unless you can find an aftermarket cheaper. here is one that is cheaper than an OEM: http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=4300 have fun. |
The receiver has less metal inside and at some point will crack. Normally at the locking block pin.
Get a stainless steel guide rod and a #22 ISMI spring. The heaver spring will slow the slide down enough that it will reduce the chance of the receiver cracking. If the receiver does crack Glock will replace it for free with a new FGR receiver as long as you don't volunteer you have a .357SIG barrel for it. |

There have been posts of certain folks' theories (and I'm one of them) that, sooner-or-later, as more folks reload for .357 Sig, that there will be setback-induced KBs. However, I can't remember ever seeing one report of an actual KB of a Glock in .357 Sig, caused by setback. I'd appreciate any links to accounts of .357 Sig setback-related KBs. |
It is the first I have heard of such a thing with a .357 SIG Glock. BTY... I am a factory trained Glock armorer. |

I recall reading a document about KBs in the 357s. I forget who issued it, it was LE or an ammo company. Reporting similar setback issues as with the .40. BTW, Glock is as bad as HK about admitting faults in their weapons. They will fight rumors of warranty issues even as they replace weapons. |

As with any That said, is the .357 Sig round it self more prone to setback than others? I don't know. I have loaded and unloaded my G31 and 33 plenty, and as with all of my carry guns, when I cycle a round twice into the chamber it is fired on the third, which is a trip to the range. I have only experienced bullet setback on the first chambering with S&B .223/5.56 rounds a few years back, with the 20rd green box. |

I have been using 357 sig since the 31 was released never had a problem I used to get bullets that were defective but they are usually obvious and you just don't use them. if you want you can buy a OEM barrell and send in your 22 and Glock will inspect it to make sure it can handle the 357 if it won't they will upgrade your frame (at least that's what they told me) |

I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear of .357 Sig setback-induced KBs, but just haven't seen any reports of their actually happening. The .357 Sig case is much more susceptible to setback than a straightwall case, due to the paucity of neck in the .357 Sig case. Accordingly, .400 Cor-Bons are also more likely to suffer from setback-induced KBs than are .45ACP cases. |
