I have a Glock-22 and would like to get a comprehensive list of recommended spare parts for it.  I like to be able to work on my equipment myself when I am able, and I haven't put enough rounds through it to break anything yet.  This is pretty much my SHTF Pistol.

Your help is much appreciated.

I've been shooting Glocks for nearly 20 years with thousands of rounds through them and have never required replacing any parts.

The only thing I would recommend having an extra of are the springs. I've never had one break on me but they have been known to wear out.

I use Glocks in competition, and carry a parts kit of all the pieces except frame, slide, and barrel.

You especially want spare springs (trigger spring specifically), striker spring cups, and trigger pin.  After spares of these, start building up the rest of the kit, so you can basically rebuild your glock if need be.  Make sure to kit the armorer's tool or similar sized punch, too.

spare springs (FP, trigger esp, etc), recoil spring/rod assemblies, extractor and spring, mags, and ammo

This is all you should need.  It includes those parts that are more prone to break or wear out, or those you may lose if you detail strip your Glock.

Recoil spring assembly
set of spring cups
slide lock spring
slide lock(may fly out of gun when spring breaks)
trigger spring
magazine springs

Everything else is apples and bullshit.

I am tossing my recoil spring's about every 3K rounds, cheap insurance.  Get several, they are cheap. As most have cited, the coil version of the trigger return spring is the most common failure.  You can negate that completely by going to a NY-1 return spring but most people do that in conjunction with a 3.5# connector to keep the trigger from getting heavy.  NY-1's seem to never break but they will raise the trigger weight if you don't switch the connector to the 3.5# version at the same time.

I also keep a slide lock, locking block, locking block pin, trigger pin, a slide stop lever, a slide stop spring, a whole striker unit including springs and cups, and spare extractor in my range bag, although those failures are much rarer I have seen them all go out on a .40 cal gun.
