I bought a police-trade G22 not too long ago, serial number puts it at 1996 production.  I've got a couple of questions

- What kind of new recoil spring/guide rod should I get and from where?  There seems to be a wealth of aftermarket stuff for glocks and I can't figure out what pound spring to get, the difference between captured and uncapture guide rods, etc.

- I'm all about rice, it's my weakness.  I already bought an extended slide release, mag catch, 3.5 pound disconnect, and a channel plug.  Where can I get one of those flared magwell extenders you see on some competition guns?

-  Are there any websites (or places local to northern virginia) that do slide refinishing?  There's some scuffs and holster wear on the slide now and I'd like to have it redone in black

thanks for any help in advance!

1: i'd stick w/ the stock captive glock recoil assemblies; keep several around, for if it breaks, you will have it on hand
or yea, you could just get a captive steel/other metal one...check the EE, a dealer has SS rods for ~$12

2: well i'm not one to rice unless it actually works for me...turns out that a glock stock is perfect for me, save some good steel night sights, factory hi-caps and good ammo

for #1 and for #3 call glock before you add/change anything.  They will go over the gun and replace any worn parts for free and they charge $60 to do a factory refinifh on the gun.

Give them a call they will make a happy glock owner.
