I want another Glock. I currently own a G27 that has seen a lot of use and carry. I was going to get a G22 as I already have a handgun for CCW and the G22 magazines will fit in the smaller model.  But, I have been doing a lot of research here and "other" web sites and have discovered that the G19 is the most popular model available.  Is it more than "9mm vs 40 S&W" or is the G19 really that much better than either the G23/22?  From an ammo cost perspective I reload for both 45acp and 40 S&W and I understand that 9mm is probably not that cost effective to reload for.

in light of recent events this past week the 9mm verse any other caliber debate has been put to bed for now.

the g19 is a damn good gun. lighter recoil, 15 rounds of ammo.

put any one of the top 5 in defensive ammo in it and it will kill just as dead as the other 2.

well, imo, probably the more prevailant reasons why a few more recommend the G19 is b/c: cheaper ammo, less/no kBs w/ 9mm in glocks, hi-er cap mags, smoother shooting

Any idea how many kabooms in the G22 nation wide?  It must be a small percentage considering how many G22 weapons are carried by LEOs.

I am planning on adding my first glock to the collection and it will be the 19. It seems like a great overall gun for the money.

Karl,

I had both and stuck with the 19.  The main reason was my wife's proficiency with it; the 22 was a bit too much for her.

Where do you live?  If in Indy, I would be happy to let you fire my 19.
