First Glock, model 26.  I'm still not a fan of the trigger, but I couldnt argue with an indestructible 100% reliable compact 9mm anymore.  Hope to his the range this weekend weather permitting.

I'm a Ruger guy but needed something smaller for ccw so I decide to go with the G26 also. Went out last weekend to try it out and it was a sweet shooter. Definitley more comfortable to carry than the rugers. I love it!!!!!

what's a good holster for it?  I use a Blackhawk CQC Serpa to carry my Beretta 92 and my 1911, and am leaning hard on getting one for my G26

For CCW, I suggest a Comp-tac Ctac holster.  It is the holster on my list for CCW for my G19.  Awesome holster from what I've heard.

Welcome. The Glock trigger will grow on you. Now, for me, it's hard to shoot much else without going "Man I hate this trigger." Lots of good holsters out there for the 26. I see a G19 in your future.

+2 I used to trust nothing but Ruger and hated Glocks.  Picked up my G19 awhile ago and I have been forever in love with Glock.  The only reason that I still have my P89 is A) It has never failed me and B) It was my first handgun and will be passed to my children.

i've been out here since the end of feb.  I'm at Laughlin in Del Rio doing the pilot training thing, and start flying the T-6 in a bit over a week.

I'm just like you- I love my 1911 (Springfield Mil Spec) and I don't think any Glock could ever replace it in the position of favor, BUT you can't argue with the practicality of a relatively small, relatively light 9mm handgun that carries 10 rds and is nearly indestructible.

I think I'm going to get a CQC for the holster for it.  I prefer OWB (my waistline has grown since i purchased most of my clothes) and I like the draw from OWB better as well.

There are few holsters better than the SParks Versamax 2.  That being said, you can have immediate gratification at half the price by getting a Sidearmor IWB, a Comptac Infidel, or a Crossbreed (really cheap, ugly as hell, but a great IWB holster).

Goddamn flyboys...you gotta spoon feed them everything.

Changing the trigger spring on glocks is relatively easy. I have found that the heavier 8 pound trigger spring provides a way better trigger pull. The factory 5-lb spring is the weakest point of a stock glock anyway. It is thin, and neglect will destroy this part first. It is also entirely different in it design.

The 8 lb mod looks like this:

where the standard looks like this:

They are installed and function in a different manner than each other.

One functions on compression(the 8 lb-er) and the other by resistance.

The compression provides a better feel than the standard.
