I just bought a new Glock 17. Have not had a Glock for about 2 years. Meant to replace my last one with a new model with rails when I sold it, but never got around to it. This one has the Lasermax already built into the guide rod. Will have to see if I like it or if I take it out. Am taking the Glock Armorers class next week, and I should learn a lot there. We will probably be working on them in Iraq, so I thought I should get a little training. Have never taken one down past field stripping. Am thinking about using the extended mag release and slide release and the the 3.5 connector. With night sights and the laser, that should make it about perfect for me. All you need are the night sights and spare mags! Good luck! |

Congrats on the new gun. I really like my G34 w/ the stock lighter pull, the extended mag release and extdned slide release. U will be happy w/ those changes. Visit: ps90forum.com Visit: www.handgunforum.net |
Like mcnielsen I have no use nor need for these and would immediately take them off of any pistol I aquired and fund the night sights. Try it without them before you spend the $$$. |

The night sites are worth having and much cheaper than any laser system. Glock sells an extended slide release if you want one of those. Also I have stainless steel recoil assembly, which probably isn't necessary but works perfectly. I have polished the trigger part too. Other than that everything is stock. More importantly I want to thank you for your service. |

I already have the night sights and will use them. I have had Glock's before(Models 17, 22, and 21), and I really like the extended controls on the Practical 34-35 over the standard length on my older models. I also like the feel of the 3.5 trigger, and have tried it out while shooting IPSC at the local range. If I decide that I don't like the laser, I will take it out and put in the standard recoil assembly, and sell off the laser.I found that I did not like the Crimson Trace laser because of the grip location and my handhold on the pistol. The lasermax came already in the pistol at a good price. 1911:45ACP Makarov:9x18 S&W 15:38 Spc Beretta M9:9mm Glock 17:9mm Rock River M-4:223 AK47 Folder:7.62x39 Remington Nylon Apache 77:22 |
