Hi all! Been thinking about getting my first handgun and narrowed down to GLOCK 19!  Yet I was wondering if I need to spend money next year but as soon as I saw GLOCK 19 HomeLand Defender package I ended up ordering one. Overall the whole package seemed to me a good deal and of course I get a special edition...(at least special to me) I guess I can get my hands on it within a week or two!  Soooo excited.... |

Thanks! I am sure I will love it! At first, lots of people commenting the strange grip angle worried me but I really couldn't tell much difference between 1911 & GLOCK. Wait! before you all say anything more... The reason is that I never shot any handgun before. I shot my friend's G19 twice about 10 rounds total? and my coworker's 1911 about 5 rounds. Since I'm fresh new to handguns, I figured that I can adapt to anything. Also, I checked numbers of topics & replies on AR15.com and found that GLOCK board has by far the most postings. Not to mention GLOCK's known & well proven reliability & reasonable good price for me. |
I had been shooting 1911s, among other things, for over 30 years when I got my first GLOCK, a G26 which was soon followed by a G19. I adapted. The G19 is what I carry most of the time. You made an excellent choice. Now go to Walmart and buy a case of WWB. |
