| How can I tell what date code or version my 26 is? |
|
Try this tool and see if it comes up with a date for you. Date My Glock |
According to the Glocktalk list that was pointed out to you, CPE and CPV are listed as February of 1998. Seeing how yours falls in between those two prefixes, I would be willing to bet your gun was also made in February 1998. Just a guess, but it kind of makes sense. CPE - G-33 - February 1998 - 2.5 Gen. CPH - G-19 - Unknown - 3rd Gen. - Austrian proof datecode EDT, no LCI CPK - G-19 - Unknown - 3rd Gen. - Austrian proof, no LCI CPL - G-19 - Unknown - 3rd Gen. - Austrian proof, no LCI CPV - G-26 - February 1998 - 2.5 Gen. - smooth finger grooves |
Good or bad? You tell us. does it shoot perfectly? There have really only been two versions of the G26. If you go with the current versions being 3rd generation, the original ones are 2.5 generation. The main differences will be the non-LCI extractor, the old style finish, and the finger grooves do not have the checkering between the finger bumps. |
