If anyone out there has used a Fobus paddle holster can you tell me if you've had trouble keeping your holster in your clothes while drawing.  My Glock always invites the *%&#@ paddle holster with it!  I got this thing as a present and I do not like........Thanks in advance!

I've had similar problems with my ParaOrd LDA.  At first i just about ripped my pants off, then i started paying more attention to drawing straight out.  However, lately the problem has started to reappear.  While having a decent drawstroke seems to alleviate the problem, in real life i may not have the luxury.  Also the polyethylene of whatever they're made of is softer than kydex and my front sight is starting to chew up my holster.  I won't use this for defensive carry and don't recommend others do either.

Thanks CURT!

I have the same deal going.  If I draw straight up and out I am OK (for the most part) BUT,  This particular holster has the rotating swivel where you can adjust the angle at which the  pistol sits and therefore improve upon your draw, etc.  I think like you mentioned it is all in the angle.  I tried to adjust mine slightly forward toward my hip and at that angle I am pulling(against the paddle)and the holster out as well.  I am sticking with my belt loop GLOCK holster!  At least for now!

I have carried my Fobus holsters for over two years now and never had this problem. I have attended several classes as well with this style holster and they have performed flawlessly. The true key to these holsters is the draw stroke. If the gun is hanging up in the holster then your draw stroke isn't correct. Just practice, practice, practice.

What also may be the problem is loose fitting clothing (loose waist band or not wearing a belt) These holsters were not designed to be worn on a loose waist band.

Ya Stupid me!  hee hee!  It was draw stroke more than anything.  If I keep the pistol close to the body side while drawing it comes up and out without a hitch at all.......sometimes it takes a POST and it's replies to wake you up!    I have not tried adjusting the angle for a different draw yet.  Though I like straight up/forward and out!  Thanks to all and Take care!

Fobus holsters require a different draw technique than normal holsters.

Remember the old saying "slow is smooth and smooth is fast"?  Well a smooth draw doesnt work with a fobus holster. In fact they included an instructiion sheet with the holster telling you that. You have to yank the gun out of a fobus holster. Which is great for weapon retention. But its crap for a smooth precise repeatable draw.

If you want a cheap plastic holster get an uncle mikes instead of Fobus. If you want a good "plastic" holster get a Blade-Tech.

Thanks all!  Good advice of course.........Mine came with no directions but it's worn in enough I guess that it is actually quite smooth on the draw.  Yes a belt is a must with this thing as Sooguy said.  A bit of a smooth yank but not as much as at first though it still holds the pistol very well even under rolls, etc.
