Just picked up a used (LE trade-in) Glock 19. Taking it apart, noticed a trigger spring/module that I have not run into before (certified as a Glock armorer last year). The unit is plastic (similar form to the NY modules), but is black and has no spring. I don't remember if any special note was made to something like this in the armorer's class (no notes about it in my book), and have not found one online. Any ideas? Can try to get some pictures if necessary. THanks in advance. |

Thanks, HotRod9mm. Looked at it again and what you said makes more sense now. Noticed two things in the armorer's manual: NY2 trigger spring can be orange or black, and there is a technical bullentin noting that new NY trigger springs have coil springs vice leaf springs. The unit that I have does indeed have a leaf spring (though it doesn't feel like a 12lb pull...the pistol does have the standard disconnector). Mystery solved, and as you suggested it will go in the parts box as a conversation piece. |
