The G-38 is my CCW. My 20 yr old daughter also shoots and owns a G-38. It is just about the smoothest firing Glock around and the recoil is a push rather than the snap of the 40S&W, 10mm or 357SIG. $375 is a very great deal! Buy it immediately. Buy your ammo on-line if the local prices are too high. Ignore the naysayers, the GAP rd is catching on slowly. Those who shoot it, like me, love it a lot. Check out G-38 reviews on Glocktalk.com in the gun-related clubs forum - The Bull Dawgs Forum. Lots of GAP lovers there with Danny R leading the pack. |
Big +1 (2nd only to the G19/G17). The only downside I see with the G38 is ammo cost. If that's not an issue, then the G38 is the best Glock made for all-around SD purposes, IMO. I'm issued a G23 and it's a great duty pistol...I'm just not crazy about the .40 round. |
RE: 45GAP terminal ballistics It will perform exactly as the .45acp in similar loadings. Exact same bullets, traveling at exact same speeds, will produce the exact same results. |
