I finially broke down and bought a G19. This is the older style without the light rail. I have a couple of questions for our resident glock nuts:

1.  What parts do I need for the NY trigger mod?

2.  Do all G19's have the captive recoil spring assembly?  Any advantage to using the ISMI spring, guide rod?

3. What spare parts do you recommend having on hand??

Thanks in advance

All you need is a NY1 or NY2 trigger spring

No the earily G17, 19, 20, 21 and 22(I think some of the 23s did but I don't remember) had non-captive springs.

Any advantage to using the ISMI spring, guide rod?

They won't break

3. What spare parts do you recommend having on hand?.

All the internal springs, trigger, recoil spring/rod, mag, e.t.c.

ny 1 is 8 pounds ny2 is 12.
I put a ny1 extended slide release and extended magazine release on my 19 and my wife's 26.  We both love the ny1 trigger.

I will give the Ny 1 a try. I carry a P220 and cant quite get used to the stock trigger on the 19.

I use the NY1 + the stock Glock 5.0 connector, to me it's as smooth as can be for a CCW. Not too light, but not to stiff. It gives me the chance to back away on the trigger if I need to.

This is what I plan to do. I am not comfortable with the stock trigger pull. It only took me about 10 years to get a Glock. Glad I did.

I just put a Glock OEM 3.5 in with my NY1 and WOW. Holy shiite that is the absolute best trigger feel I have ever experienced with a Glock.
