[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about Glock 30 holsters

Will a holster that fits a Glock 30, also fit a Glock 30 with rails? In my searching I have found one vendor (Galco) that specifies a difference between a non-railed 30 and a railed 30. Usually I would not ask because rails usually do make a difference (as in 1911's) but with the Glock 30, the rails appear to not change the muzzle contour. Thanks.

Just as a FYI, I heard back from Galco, they said most holsters for the Glock 30, will not fit the Glock 30 with rails. I guess close, isn't close enough.

Guess I'll play the waiting game.

Comp-tac makes their holsters for the g30 with and without rails.

I recently ordered a Pro-Undercover for my railed G30, but the gun did not fit. I'm guessing the wrong holster was put in the railed packaging.

Hopefully, it will get straightened out soon.

When I was looking for holsters for my 30, I had the same concern. I contacted Galco and the models that I specified (including the shoulder holsters and the SOB) said they would fit the rail'd model, but may need to have the tension screw loosened.

I actually specified the Summer Comfort IWB holster when I emailed Galco. I have one for my 5" Kimber and it's a great holster. When they emailed me back, they seemed pretty adamant that none of the standard 30 holsters would fit a railed 30. And I must admit the Summer Comfort I have for my Kimber Custom II is a damn precise fit and a friends Kimber Warrior will not even begin to fit into it.

I ordered a Comp-tac to tie me over and I'm going to have Milt Sparks here in town make me a Versa Max or one of the Summer Specials.
