i like the contours, ergonamics, and slimness of the XD over the glock; i also like the trigger contour of the XD better, but i prefer the glock's pull and reset i dont like the XD's grip safety too much, but its not a bother for me i wish that SA had an XD .45acp that held 10-11 rnds in a slighly shorter frame than the service line... |
i think they do i was looking for one and they seem to have two sizes one 4' and the other 5' inches .i think the one i 5'inch is dubbed as their tactical version. my next one will be the Xd tac 5' simply cause of the safety --(new to guns)hinking.gif Besides that i have heard that the slide paint seems to easily wear out .I like the fact that they kind of come with a holster, mad case form the factory. sorry, i ment a shorter grip frame area; the 4" and 5" both have the same size grip area, neither of which i would like to CCW (possible since i use to CCW a full size 1911, but not ideal) +1 on it being made in Croatia--"the Croatian sensation"  XDs are great shooters, but like glocks, they still have some features/options that i wish they would change.....not much, but some the new finish i heard beats the crap out of the old finish; but then again, ANYTHING beats the crap of the old finish--they did not last through anything, even everyday reholstering |
| Yes the XD is Croation. What is so wrong with that? I'm Croation, and I'm getting sick and tired of people talking as if it were a bad thing. So STFU and stop making such a big deal out of the fact the XD is a Croation pistol. To me it doesn't matter where a gun is made, but whether it fits me and has the features I like. And just for the record, I prefer Glocks to XD's, but I'm sick of people making a big deal out of the fact that the XD is Croation made. Sorry, but I just had to get that off my chest since its been bugging me for awhile. Rant over. |
GLOCK! Toss that XD away. I finally had the chance to hold an XD at my FFL yesterday.... I couldn't wait to put it back down and actually yelled for the FFL (who walked away after he handed me the gun) to put it back in the case. I was all set. IMHO they don't even compare. |
