Yes... it most likely is a MagPul.  A few were made I think before the shot show, I think last year.  Not yet in production.  Not many out there, I bought 2 or 3 on the EE a bit back.

Thank you for the answer... I had looked on the magpul site and found nothing, so they are not  in production,  well I'll just have to wait...... TNX

I don't know what a Ranger Plate is but Lone Wolf has a bunch of different/wild floor plates and extensions on their web site.

I did answer you. The correct answer is MagPul.

They are in production but not on the website. You'll have to call them and ask for them.

I did have some pictures of them, but I can't find them. I think Grant had some, and or pictures of them on his site. So you might ask him too.

Good luck.

Yes you did and Tnx but the next guy said NO so I was lost...  I talked to magpul today and they told me they would be putting these on the market soon,  they were going to run  production this week but only in 9mm and 40, I want some for a 21...  Tnx for all the help !

You might try to IM TheRicker, from ADCO, here on the board. I think he has one on a G17 mag.

why?  seriously, I see no reason for these to exist other than to deprive some people of a few bucks

I've had 6 of them for months sitting on a shelf. Finally bought a glock to use them on two weeks ago. I'm not sure weither I like them or not. They stick out past the grip and make ccw harder, but its easier to insert and remove the mags from the gun or from pouches. But then again on a g19 you could use g17 mags and gain the added length with a few more rounds added too, so im not sure if theres much of a benefit to them or not. I'll have to play with them some more. Oh well, I got them for free anyways

Pulling out of a tac vest is what I wanted them for, I thought it would work just as good as on AR mags, I'd have to give them a run first, but right now they are not makeing them for 21's only 9mm and 40's.....

There is a trend in tac-vests to run open top magazine pouches. With a gizmo like this you can make the pouches deeper and still get the magazine out. This helps with magazine retention in an open top pouch.

It gives you a positive grip on a magazine that may be stuck in the gun.

It protects the magazine from damage when it hits the ground.

I'm not saying they are needed. But, if Rich made it, it was because someone who uses his/her gun for a living suggested it.

And because they are Glock magazines, it gives you a way to hang them up to dry after you take them out of the dishwasher.

+1

I sell those tac vests, and you need something like this on your mags. I see alot of people say there is no need, well there is a great need and demand, just not for the arm chair rangers

I wouldn't want them for CCW purposes but for training classes where I might have to retrieve a spare GLOCK mag or two from my chest rig I can see where they might offer an advantage.

When we were at ShotShow, I didn't get any, but two of my friends did, for their glocks (19 and whatever else model). I know that one friend got one, and the other got two. And at the end of day two, only one was working. They're cool (mailny for the purpose of range use, to protect the mag when ejected), but I'd be cautious about them.

I'd get them if I had a glock, just to test it out.

Oh, and for petes sake.. has anyone gone to www.militarymorons.com to check them out? He did a review on them. I can't find it. But I know he did it.
