I would like to get a feel on how many here have even just shot a 10mm. A yes or no would serve the purpose.

I rented a Glock 10mm at an indoor range near Chicago many years ago and loved it.  I still have a few rounds of ammo somewhere (couldn't burn it all before closing time ).

Although I've shied away from adding more calibers to my personal armory for logistics reasons, I have to say that in the last year or two, the idea of a 10mm Glock and an AR that can share mags with it has become very interesting.  I really need to finish buying the tooling I need for my milling machine.

Yes I own a Witness 10mm shot it first time today.

Question to owners do you shoot 40S&W out of your 10mms?  Yes out of your 10mm barrel?

I shot 3 rounds of 40S&w out of my Witness today it fired, fed, and cycled no issues.  Is this safe?

Recoil is considearbly less and pressures are lower as well so I guess it breakes down to does the bullet grip the rifling and is it unsafe because of that?

Yes, since 1988 I have used a Colt stainless 1911 Gold Cup Delta Elite. With 170 lead bullets at 970 fps I use it in competition. On July 30th 2005 I took 2nd place Master in the duty catagory at the South Bend, IN  Indiana Match. At the State championship also at South Bend on Aug 27, 2005 I took first place Master in the duty capagory. For hunting and defense I use win 175 gr Silvertips @ 1270 fps. Two coyotes have become vitims of that load.
Do I shoot the 10mm? yep! My next project gun is a Essex stainless 10mm parts gun that is going to wear a DOCTER OPTIC for these old eyes.
try it you'll like it!!!!!

G29, G20, and S&W.  It kicks ass.

And if it wasn't for ammo cost and availability, I would own a G20.

G20 - my first centerfire pistol when I was 14...  What a great Christmas present!  I put tons of rounds down that thing and even learned the reload because of it...

Spooky

Spooky, are ya doing anything special too prevent a case failure in the G20?  I reload too, and I use a factory GLOCK barrel.  My reloads are pretty tame, nothing hot.  I've considered getting an aftermarket barrel for it with a more supportive chamber, but I haven't sprung for it yet.

This is very dangerous Mattl.  A 10mm & 40 are not interchangable like a 38 & 357 are.  The reason is headspace.  38's and 357's headspace off the rim of the case, that extra part in the rear that is bigger than the body.  The distance from the front of that to the rear of the chamber (the face of the bolt/slide) is the same.  10's & 40's headspace off the case mouth.  The distance from that to the rear of the chamber is different.  You can fire 7mm Magnum in 300 win and weatherby magnums, but it ain't safe.  You chamber a 22-250 in 308, chamber a 308 in a 30-06, but it ain't safe.

Yes, personal impression was that the recoil was less noticeable than the G22 in .40.
Probably due to the much heavier slide

Yes.  My friend has a G29.  Pretty cool, but I didn't care for the way it fit my hand.  I'd still like to check out a full-size 10mm sometime though.

same size as the 45acp, I feel the fullsize glocks are a lot easier to handle.
Where in MN are you. You can shoot my G20 if I can convert you
