Well thanks to a post on another forum I picked up a G43X MOS. $470 out the door. First impressions... it fits the hands NICELY and has 15 rounds for such a small package. I have a G43 issued to me as a PU pistol but this one obviously carries way more rounds. Magazines- extremely stiff at first to load, I needed the tool, I know, I'm a wimp. After a couple mags, they seem to be a little easier but round 11-15 is tough. Slide locked back on empty with both mags. Feeding/Ejection- 60 trouble free rounds from both magazines. A solid 15 plus feet ejection at 3:00. No brass to the face of over the shoulder. Recoil- I expected more... not bad to shoot at all with Sellier-Bellot 115gr FM. Slight pinch point at the tip of my trigger finger in the trigger guard. I can live with it for sure. Accuracy- trying to beat the rain I gave it a solid 90% effort. Seems to hit where the sights are when the gun goes bang. See below. 15-rounds at 7 yards free hand...  5-rounds at 7 yards free hand...  5-rounds at 7 yards free hand...

Called Glock, they issued a RMA. Sent my 15 round magazines in, and a few days later the replacements arrived: If anyone else is having problems with their 15 round magazines, there is a fix. For those that may be interested... Metal mags work with the Dagger Micro and Grit Grips magwell: Attached File Attached File They initially wouldn't drop free. I found that the top portion of the magazine tube was dragging on the magazine catch while depressed; occurred with both the Vickers and O.E. PSA catch. I removed a little material from this spot and resolved the issue: Attached File |

They don’t give you a flush fit mag because the mag body itself is longer than what would be flush. The factory Glock mags basically have a spacer and these baseplates from SLR don’t, creating a gap. It’s looks basically like inserting a G17 mag into G19. The pic from SLR is sneaky in that the pistol has an external mag well so it appears the SLR floor plate gives you a flush fit mag on a factory frame. Kinda shitty on their part but ultimately my mistake for not paying closer attention in my haste. |
