This may be a stupid question, but does the 17L use a normal fullsized (17 style) recoil rod/spring or does it use a different power? If it is a different power, is it a higher or lower power?

From the research I've been doing, it is the same spring. That is why the slide has its cut out, to make it weigh the same as the standard 17 slide so that a different/special spring is not needed. I could be wrong though.
