I currently have a G-17 and absoultely love it. I am wanting to pick up another Glock, but I can't make up my mind on model. I have a large supply of 9mm and 45 ACP ammo, so I was thinking about one in either caliber.  I have a lot of mags for my 17 and I even entertained the thought of getting another 17.

The guns purpose would be just to have and shoot.  Not really looking for concealed carry piece, but I do like the baby Glock in 9mm.  Not sure of the model number. 26 maybe?

Small framed 45 would be nice break from my 1911.  What about the 45 GAP?  I am not sure I want to invest in something ammo availablilty may end up being a problem with.

What would you buy and why?

Thanks...

Well if you want a fun range toy that will be compatible with your collection Glock-17 mag get a 17L or a Glock34.

G19, it accepts the G17 mags and is a great all around pistol.

For a range gun no doubt, ammo in 9mm is much cheaper then 45 ACP.

2 how do you like that 10mm?  I have often thought if I was going to go with something other than the 9 or 45, it would be a 10.  How hard is it to find un-neutered ammo for them.

Most of what I have seen at my local shop says police load, or sub load. Store owner says its loaded to 40 cal levels.

You'll get a lot of responses recommending the G19, and I'm recommending it too. It's a great gun.

I'd like a G20 also, but the availability of the hot loaded 10mm ammo is a concern to me as well.

I also love my G17, I added a G21c,and a G30.  GAP ammo is too much $$$ for me.

That gets my vote.  Sharing the G17 is a great plus, IMHO.  Then suppress the 19.

Yes most store bought 10mm ammo is loaded to 40 loads. The best is to do your own reloads or go to doubletapammo.com. They have a excellent selection of true 10mm loadings.

G19

I own G19 & G17 and even though I love my G17 I still love the G19 a little bit more

G19 if you want to carry it.  Or if you want something that’s about the same size as your G17, but more accurate, get the G34.  It’s 9mm and uses the same magazines.

I own a G19, G23 and a G34, and the G34 is my favorite.

I say if you want another 9mm try and snag a Glock 17L.  Glock 21's are nice and so are their compact brother.  Bit bulky but if you're not worrying about carry, then it's not a problem.

I currently have a Glock 22 and a Glock 23 that I carry.  Nice thing about the .40's is that you can go out and buy the .357 barrels and swap them out.  So essentially you can have 2 guns with one frame.  Just need to switch the barrels.

My current fvorites are the G19 and G30.  The 19 is a great ccw gun.  The G30 is a little on the thick and heavy side for ccw, in fact a lot of people call it "the brick" but it shoots really smoothly, accurately, and throws a big hunk of lead.

If you already have a 9mm, and you like 9mm and .45, get the G30.
