I wish Raven would offer their VG3 light bearing holster for the Glock 43/43X/48 and Streamlight TLR-6. I've never been interested in the TLR-6 for my 43 as I often carry it in an ankle holster as my BUG. Now that I have a 48, I'd buy the TLR-6 and VG3 in a heartbeat.

Currently using a Tulster IWB holster. Decent construction and retention, gun comes out pretty fast after the retention is broken. The biggest issue is finding a mag pouch. The 43 pouches that I have are too small and the G19/17 pouches that I have are too large (obviously). I did find a G43 K-Rounds mag pouch that worked, but I'm not a fan of belt loops. I just picked up a LAG single mag pouch for a G19 magazine. I cut about 1/4" off the rubber spacers and was able to tighten down the two halves and get decent retention on a G48 mag.

Try a mag pouch for a Sig 228 or Beretta 92.

I tried a P228/P229 mag pouch, but it was still pretty loose and the design wouldn't allow me to adjust it as far as I would need to.

Absolutely.

Paul’s simple fold over design has been my favorite for years as they are minimal and very comfortable.

Every pistol I have gets one.

Here’s the G43 holster I’ve been using for edc, will be the same just a smidge longer

Any experimental results with leather mag pouches?

Can confirm that my leather single 1911 pouches are juuuust a hair too tight.

Glock 48 seems to ride nicely in a Bianchi 43 pancake, albeit with the front sight sticking out the bottom.

I tried out Galco & DeSantis leather pouches in my LGS for the Glock 36 and they were a perfect fit for the 48 mags.

I just ordered this holster and mag carrier from Amazon.

It is for my new 43x.  It has great ratings.  I got the black kydex holster and a mag holster for the 43 comes with it for $19.95 shipped.  There is a carbon fiber version for $24.95 shipped.  It has 41 star reviews, all five star ratings.  Should be here next week to try out.

I’m currently using the vanguard for g43 on a 48. I swapped the plastic hook for a pull the dot. Works fine.

I’m bummed there is no incog for it. Impatiently waiting for gcode stealth holster to come out for it.

43 slide on 48 frame works fine with incog if anyone cares.

The only one I've tried so far is an old Blackhawk dual mag pouch for double stack mags. I was able to tighten it down far enough so that It would retain the G48 mags.

I was texting with my boss last week about some work stuff, and as we were finishing up, out of the blue he said IWB or OWB. I said O, so then he said Kydex or leather. I replied Kydex. I had no idea why he was asking but didn't think any more about it. He had me stop by his car on the way out of work this afternoon and gave me these for my new 48.

They’re still using kydex as a belt clip? You may never have cracked one (obviously since you’re still using them), but that is so inferior to today’s standards of holsters. It makes  no sense to still be doing that style when injected molded clips or soft loops are so much stronger and cheap.

The holster came today and works great.  The mag holster will not take the 43x mag at all.  That 43x mag should be able to hold at least 12 rounds!

I've got a DeSantis double carrier, can't remember the model off the top of my head, but it was supposedly for single stack .45s or 10mms, and also for 9mm and .40 Shield mags---I loosened the tension and worked the leather a bit and it holds 48 mags.  Pretty snug, but not excessive I think.  If you've used a Don Hume OWB single mag pouch with the mag it was designed for, that's about the same level of snugness.

Black Point Tactical has the 43x and 48 listed as options on their Mini Wing IWB.

I have loved my Mini Wings for my 19 and my 43, so when I pick up my 48 I will likely be sticking with what I love.

I carry either the 19 or 43 around 3.5-4 o'clock position and it has worked great for me going on 3 years give or take.

Black Point Mini Wing

Edited to add- it worked great today during my 2.5 year olds hair cut in which he turned into the combination of a Tasmanian devil and a crocodile (doing the death roll).  I had to basically hold him in the straight jacket position.
That is a tactical as I hope to get today!

I ordered a Kydex OWB holster for a G48 with TLR-6 from tr_holsters through ebay. It arrived last night, and since I haven't even had the chance to shoot the gun, yet, much less carry it, I can't speak to the holster's carryability, but it seems as well made as my KT Mech holster for my G19 and G45. The price was right, too, at $46.

I had a similar design that broke. Kydex isn’t the best material for a clip to fit over a belt. The frequent flexing to fit over a belt will eventually cause it to crack. The fold over designs were common in the early days of kydex sheaths and holsters. The vast majority of holsters makers have moved on to better designs.  Injection molded clips are much stronger and can be replaced if broken. A broken fold over clip can’t be fixed and requires a new holster.

I thought about a JMC G43 w/TLR-6 "Long" and then cutting the bottom but I'd rather not try that. Any help would be much appreciated.

I prefer IWB, just behind the hip (4 o'clock). If the OWB is pretty snug perhaps I could make that work. I'll give it look.

I'm also waiting for the incog to come out for the 48.  Sent them an email to see what their timeline was for releasing it.  G-code has always been on the slower end of releasing stuff though.  Seems like none of the big-name makers have anything for it yet.  And no, I'm interested in a 'slide' model that is open on the bottom.

Sounds right.

I got one for the 48, it's pretty nice and seems to be breaking in nicely with the horse hide. I feel it's a little loose for my taste even after tightening up.

We will see after it softens up a bit. Currently wearing it at 3 o'clock.

I ordered a Tier 1 Xyphos for G48 w/TLR-6 a few days ago.  Hasn't even shipped yet but that's ok as I don't even have a G48

Went to buy one last week and was told that my ID has to have my current address or I need some kinda gov issued bill reflecting my current address.  Don't have any but I'm heading to the DMV tomorrow to just get a new card.

It's weird, my second job is checking in patients at a hospital.  I would estimate that about 50% of Drivers Licenses don't show people's current homes.  I just moved a month ago but a lot of people tell me "I haven't lived there since 09, 11, 2012..etc".  Weird

Yessir. It’s the reinforced clip on. Makes it a breeze to go on and off.

The closed loop I believe is just a solid hard belt loop.
