The only factory 9mm rounds I have currently are Winchester 9mm Ranger 124gr +P... no warning label about ported or comped barrels on the Winchester.

What bullet / profile is that?

Looking at Speer Golddots in .40sw and .45acp and various Corbon loads in .357, .44 and 10mm... no warnings on comps or ports on those either.

The cheap Federal ammo uses thinly plated bullets instead of jacketed. The warning is there because small bits of the plating and bullet base could be stripped off and come out of the comp ports or cause lead accumulation in the ports.

It's not a big deal if you're wearing eye pro when you shoot (which you should anyway)
