Why won't Glock make FDE 9mm mags?  Or FDE mags in any other size than the G22?  I would imagine that plenty of people would buy them.

I'm sure somebody with a manufacturing background has better insight, but the R&D that goes into making factory/duty magazines probably isn't cheap or easy. Throwing another color with different physical characteristics is just one more thing to have to track.

Nowadays, we aren't just limited to factory or korean mags anymore, and pretty much anyone can throw a simple finish on plastic in their garage.

The FDE .40 magazines were specifically manufactured to prevent confusion with 9MM magazines for an organization that was using both, so making FDE 9MM magazines would have defeated the whole point.

Whether they simply haven't made them in 9MM for the commercial market pursuant to some kind of agreement, to proactively prevent confusion, because they simply don't want to, or because no one else has been willing to put up the money to convince them to go commit whatever effort it takes, I have no idea, though the fact that they have made FDE (and other colors) framed pistols would suggest that they have some other reason for chosing not to make matching magazines.

I am sure demand plays into this as well.  If they were to make say 100K of these and end up not selling half of them that is a lot of inventory to either discount or sit on.  Most likely it is probably a business decision and it would be smarter to just made FDE floor plates and sell them separately.

I obviously don't know for sure, but I'd say this is the most likely reason they haven't made them.

Because FDE is a shitty color for people who live in crappy dessert places.  Those places tend to be less populated because, big surprise, you can't grow food there and the demand is low especially for an item that is 95% covered all the time, unlike shit like ar furniture which is visible.

If you start a real ground swell now you might get it in 20 years aka single stack 9mm.  Or maybe not like a glock carbine.

It would be nice if they would offer all the colors the same as the colored frames.  And when you order, say a grey or FDE frame gun, it comes with grey, or FDE mags.  I can't imagine for a company the size of Glock that his would be a hard thing to do.
There are colored mags out there now made by Jagemann, but there aren't any real reviews out there, so I'm not sure about those
