Best Sights for HD and range fun? Will go on a 19

Maybe Try HD XRs?
I have some coming Monday.

I don't see too much a difference between the HD and the HD XR's IMO.

That being said, they are the best pistol sights for me. My duty gun wears a set, my 19 wears a set, my sig p320 has a set. I like them a lot. In daylight, that colored front really grabs my eye sight and at night, the sights glow and work as advertised.

The only pistol I don't have a set on, is my Roland Special, and that's because I find night sights with a red dot kind of distracting.

I've got two sets now.  I was going to RMR one of my pistols but tried the HDs first.  It shoots so well with HDs I've just about shelved the RMR idea.

My other Glocks sport Ameriglo Spartans.  There's not much difference in sight picture between Ameriglo and Trijicon.  I will give a slight nod to the HDs.

I have three pistols that I installed Trijicons HDs on: Gen 4 Glock 31, Springfield Armory XDm .45 and a Glock 43.

Most of my pistols have standard Trijicon night sights, but as they wear out or need replacement, HDs will take their place.

I have no problems using the HDs for range practice or 3-gun competitions, ( with my G31 )

The front sight is quick to aquire and accuracy is no problem at all.  With the G43, here's my first thirty rounds fired from the new pistol at twenty one feet:

I have them and like them.  Only warning is I was taking a dump and my gun (in holster) fell from my pants onto the floor.  Very short fall but landed on the rear edge of the sight and dented the hell out of it.  Called trijicon about it and they said "yep our sights use soft metal to help them fit right" and offered to sell me another.

I have four sets of the Trijicon HD's - they're a self defense sight and they're fast.

I have three sets of the originals and one set of the XR's.   I do not like the XR series - they're more accurate but not as fast.

Best sights out there IMO. I have the orange and absolutely love them. Replaced TruGlo TFO and haven't looked back. For defense and carry they are the best.

I did not much care for the sharp edges on them.  Good sights but I prefer my Heinie 2 dot straight 8 sights.

I like the front sight on the Trjicom HD but not so much the rear sight would I be able to use the vickers rear battle sight and trijicon HD front sight together?

Vickers Wilson Combat black rear, tritium front.  All my Glocks have them.

I put a set of Ameriglo Spartan Operators on my 19. I have a set of tfos on my shield and the only difference I can see if that the rear right is square on the Ameriglos rather than rounded. They were considerably cheaper if I remember correctly.

I have them on a few guns and honestly like the standard Trijicons better. I'm faster with the standard lower sitting sights.

I just had some HD XR's put on my gen 4 G19 and the front sight had some play/looseness to it. These are my first aftermarket sights. Anyone else have this experience with these or any sight?

I love my Trijicon HD sights, they really hit it out of the park with this one I think. I put them on all of my carry guns I liked them so much.

Yep, they do have a bit of wobble in the front sight hole.  I just tightened them down and am hoping they won't move.

With any real use, the front sight on a glock will work itself loose unless you use some sort of loc tite.

I use blue and don't have issues.

You can use the green picture to seal around any loose-fit.  Then blue on the screw.

I hated the too-wide HD front sight, and think the .122" wife HD XR is basically perfect.
That said, they should have reduced the rear from .169" to .150" or .155"...I think the rear notch
is a bit too wide unless the gun is short (like a G43).  On a 34 (or 17?) it would leave gaps on the side
almost as big as the front sight.
