I heard there is a great possibility that when the next Glock comes out. Not the M as that's just for filling the FBI contract. It will have the features of the G42/43 for example same type 1 locking block pin frame, slide stop lever w coil spring, G43 type firing pin, G43 style striker safety, G43 type trigger and THM and the coil spring for the slide lock. I do not think it will be exactly like the M though. Guess we will have to wait and see. I'm holding off on buying a new one until the next Gen comes out. Not that I need anymore Glocks! I'm sure everyone already knew this or assumed this.

I will only purchase one if it has a Grip Zone so I know where to place my hand.

That's awesome.
How that actually made it to a production item is beyond me.

Yes but that doesn't mean that the new pistol will be the M model, Could have finger groves, non flared mag well, also we will have to see if it has a ambidextrous slide stop lever?

I maybe weird but overall I still like the gen 3 Glocks just fine.  I do like the gen 4 mag release though and texture.

I am cautiously optimistic about what will probably become known as the Gen5 Glocks. I love that they are dumping the finger grooves and getting a tough, teflon like finish like the Gen3's use to have and I'm good with some of the Gen4 features like the mag release and dual spring recoil spring.

What I'm not so crazy about is, I love how backward/forward compatible (parts wise) the current generations of Glocks are but it doesn't sound like the Gen5 will have much in the way of parts commonalty with previous generations? Sounds like even the barrels will be different which is a shame IMO.

I have a wait and see attitude at this point but if they come out the way I think/hope they will, I see a new G19 and G17 in my future
