Is the $20 ghost connector a worthy upgrade?
Picked up a shield and another G43 to have a showdown (loser gets sold) and wanted to see if I should evaluate using a better connector. |

If this is a new 43 it may already have the updated connector from Glock. See this thread for more details. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_13/170386___minus_connector__for_42_43__back_in_stock.html |

See this thread for more details. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_13/170386___minus_connector__for_42_43__back_in_stock.html This if not the Ghost Edge made a YUGE difference in the G43 I have. It feels like a stock Glock out of the box. |
| I've had x3 Glock 43s, first one was when they first came out and sold for a profit to a guy who wanted it way more when everyone in our area was out, second was traded to one of my good buddy's cause he needed it and he made trade worth it, and the last was bought brand new using blue label program. All x3 had the original connector replaced with the ghost. The first two were horrible, my newest had the new style connector in it I believe (will have to recheck) but I already had a ghost on hand so I replaced |
| Yes it is, in my opinion. I run all my other Glock triggers stock without issue except for this one. I shot the 43 stock and was accurate with the stock trigger, but that heavy pull required too much focus to get right so was slowing down and/or causing accuracy issues on follow up shots. The Ghost connector immediately brought it into range of the feel I get from all the other stock Glocks. |

Well this is conflicting. According to Glock, all front sights are same and the rears vary. Their website lists front sights as "for all models" Front sight is the same as all other Glocks. It's just the rear sight that's a different height for the 42/43. |

Quoted: Agreed. The g43 had the worst trigger of all my glocks stock. Quoted: Quoted: It is well worth it in my opinion Agreed. The g43 had the worst trigger of all my glocks stock. you really have to specify if it was an early production one with the heavy connector or one made in the last 6 months with the new connector |

Sweet If it helps any, I use the same sights on all mine including rears, they fit the 42 and 43, just check to see where poi and poa are. |

I just put a set of 43 sights on my 23 with LW conversion barrel when the got messed up a while ago.Had them laying around and thought why not.
POI was just a tiny bit lower YMMV. |

Not to hijack the thread, but I was asked today if there was some sort of "+" heavy connector for a 43 and I didn't know. I've never heard of one and figured I'd ask.
Guy is new to the local PD force, and is being cajoled into carrying a pistol off duty, but it must have an 8lb pull. (Yes, local PD force isn't exactly run by Jeff Cooper). Wants to carry a 43 off duty but not sure about the pull. Any knowledge out there on the subject? |

Certified armorer, what gauge, where do they measure from ? I know you can't change certain policies, but that is stupid. |

If he buys it through the blue label program you can order it with an 8lb trigger pull, its also much cheaper than civilian sales. |
| I just checked. My new (bought a couple weeks ago) Blue Label G43 had a "-" connector. I've measured the trigger pull with a Lyman digital trigger pull gauge; 5 pounds 13 ounces average over 10 tests. That's close enough to "5.5 pounds" for me. I think it'll get a little lighter as I get more trigger time with it... |

His mom owns one of the local gun shops, but they're not a blue label dealer. I don't think it's actually going to be measured, but so long as it has the + parts in it it's OK with them.
